We understand the rare privilege to act as guides through the very sensitive areas we have access to, and look forward to showing you examples of sustainable tourism, nature conservation and community development. We have strong ties with Save the Rhino and the Desert Lion Project, two leading conservation initiatives. Frank (Tokkie) Bombosch, is the founder of Cycletec Adventure Centre and the driving force behind this very successful retail business since 1998. With over 25 years of international cycling and triathlon experience, he has managed numerous Namibian Cycling teams to international success, amongst other the Sydney and Athens Olympics as well as the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in 2006. His insatiable appetite for top- performance makes him a relentless fighter to achieve his goals. His passion for people and his country makes him a proud and true-blooded Namibian who likes to share his knowledge and experience with enthusiasm. A civil engineer by profession, Tokkie has as much interest in the geographical structures of the planet, as he has in man-made constructions.

Patrick de Goede [Click Here]

Patrick de Goede is lifelong adventurer. His experiences range from diamond diver to a night club and cycle shop owner, events organizer, sports commentator - not to mention his mechanical skills and vast knowledge of bicycles. He has also worked for the Desert Lion Project and Predator Research for some time and has a sound knowledge of the wilderness areas. He gives the word gregarious a new meaning; a true people’s person. His passion for detail and impeccable precision, creativity and most importantly, his flexibility, provides him with a recipe for success with any project he tackles.

He is also a top class all-round athlete with more than 23 years of experience in high performance sport and coaching. Patrick was Coach/Manager at the Beijing Olympics, as well as the 2006 Commonwealth Games; just a few of the many highlights in his illustrious career.

Tjipe Murangi is the blue-eyed boy on the team. Brought up in a rich Herero tradition where working hard is of the order of the day, Tjipe has become a firm favourite with guests. His soft spoken manner and his willingness to help in every situation make Tjipe an important part of our concept. As our fulltime workshop manager, Tjipe has the ability to work independently, thereby enabling us to take our adventures into very remote areas while always ensuring the safety of our clients. Tjipe is happiest when he can cycle the open plains while showing our guests the beauty that surrounds them. He is an accomplished cyclist in his own right, having won national championships and representing Namibia on the African stage.

Siegmund( Ziggy) Mengerssen is our master of all trades! As an accomplished adventure racer, Ziggy has seen it all. He has vast experience in helping his teammates to the finishline, and this nurturing approach makes him such a strong asset when we are in the remotest area of our country. He is a key component in arranging the logistics of our adventures, ensuring that guests have everything they need, no matter how far they may be from civilisation. Ziggy is a committed cycle commuter, and uses his single speed 29er to get around town. Behind his quiet demeanour lies a wealth of knowledge about endurance sport.
